I'm an artist/art director building my portfolio site on Webflow. I have around 18 short videos (5-20 sec each) on my site at the moment — a mix of hero videos and hover thumbnail animations. A lot of my work is vertical 9:16 format and detailed collage / pastel animation so quality is really important to me, I found the Webflow video features weren’t giving me the quality I needed for this style of work.
I’ve been using Cloudinary's free tier but accidentally ran up the GB bandwidth during development, I’ve been given a month's grace period but need to find a better long term solution.
My requirements are:
Videos need to play inline with custom embed code (no visible player UI) so I can use my own autoplay, mute and sound controls
Vertical 9:16 format
Good quality for detailed work
Affordable — I'm in the early days so need to keep costs low as poss!
Needs to work reliably on desktop, tablet and mobile
I've heard Bunny.net might be a good option but I'm wary of wracking up costs after the cloudinary experience! Has anyone used Bunny.net or another affordable video hosting solution with Webflow and can share their experience?
