I have had enough of Webflow’s never-ending list of bugs and performance issues, and their useless customer support who are trained to give you canned responses only, which usually consists of blaming the customer’s browser.
My site receives around 4,000 unique visitors a month and I’ve just had to close the site down, because I don’t currently have the time or resources to try and migrate the site away from Webflow, because I also work full-time.
I am so outraged and angry at Webflow for selling this garbage service to unsuspecting members of the public. It is not fit for purpose. If it were possible, I would not hesitate to join a class action lawsuit against the company.
Just recently, I reported a performance issue with the Webflow Designer. If I try to type into the Webflow Designer (either in the WYSIWYG editor or a paragraph tag), the typing lags behind my writing, and characters are often missing from the input because of how slow the Webflow Designer is. This was not a new issue to me, but I decided to report it anyway. And, as predicted, a useless person by the name of Will took the opportunity to blame my browser again and suggested that I try in Incognito Mode or a Private Window. Well, I went further and tried in Google Chrome with NO EXTENSIONS INSTALLED, and amazingly, I had the same performance issues. I guess it’s not my browser, is it?
What next… is it my computer with its i5-7500 processor, 16 GB DDR4 RAM and Samsung 990 EVO SSD? Is it that my eyes are deceiving me? Should I go to an optician and get my eyes checked? Will that fix the Webflow Designer’s performance issues?
Please do not think this is the only issue I have come across with the Webflow Designer. I have lost count the number of times I have reported bugs to this useless company.
I tried using the new Logic feature when it was released to the general public. Guess what? It is unusable. Even on my basic website, it completely freezes the Webflow Designer in every single browser when trying to create a basic Logic flow.
What is wrong with Webflow’s front-end developers? They can’t build anything that actually works.
Using Webflow was the biggest mistake I have ever made.
I don’t want to hear any excuses from anyone. I know what I know because of what I have experienced with this garbage platform. I did not have a particular large website. It had about 20 pages and 200 CMS items, and the Webflow Designer couldn’t keep up. It was and is insufferable to use every time I had to make changes to the website, or add new CMS items.
Please, please, please, avoid this garbage platform. It is not fit for purpose. These people are clowns. Their entire front-end platform needs to be replaced, perhaps starting with the team.
I have just lost an important website because of Webflow’s incompetence. Never again.
