Hi Jildou Fekken,

You don’t need to rebuild your navbar. It looks like the native Menu Button was removed from your existing Navbar 2.

Webflow doesn’t expose that part of the Navbar as a normal standalone element, but you can restore it by temporarily adding another Navbar and moving its Menu Button into your existing one.

Restore the Menu Button

Add a new Navbar anywhere on the page from the Add panel.
In the Navigator, expand that new Navbar and find its Menu Button.
Drag the Menu Button into the Container inside your existing Navbar 2. It should sit alongside the Brand and Nav Menu.
Delete the temporary Navbar once the Menu Button has been moved.

At that point, you should have the native Webflow menu functionality back.

Make the button visible and style it

Your Navbar is currently configured to show the menu icon on Tablet and below, so the Menu Button starts appearing at 991px and below.

Because Webflow styles cascade down to the smaller breakpoints, I would start styling it on the Tablet breakpoint.

You can change the icon color using the Menu Button’s Typography > Color setting. The built-in menu icon inherits its color from the Menu Button.

You can also style the button differently while the menu is open:

Select the Navbar or another element inside it.
Open the Settings panel.
Under Navbar settings, set Menu to Show.
Select the Menu Button again and style its special Open state.

If the Open state doesn’t appear in the Style selector while the Menu Button is already selected, try opening the menu with another Navbar element selected first, then select the Menu Button again.

I would also add a visible Focused (keyboard) style so the button remains clear when someone navigates the site using a keyboard.

If the Container uses Flex, margin-left: auto on the Menu Button is also a simple way to push it to the right.

One more thing I noticed in your current setup

After restoring the Menu Button, your Nav Menu is still being clipped.

The immediate cause is that the parent Container has overflow: hidden. Since the mobile Nav Menu extends outside that Container when it opens, the Container cuts it off.

On the Tablet breakpoint, change the Container to: overflow: visible

There is also a separate positioning issue. Your Nav Menu is currently set to position: fixed. For this dropdown-style Navbar, I would change that to position: absolute so the menu remains positioned with the Navbar instead of being attached to the viewport.

absolute positioning removes the menu from the normal document flow, while keeping it positioned relative to the appropriate positioned ancestor, which is much closer to how Webflow’s native dropdown-style Navbar is intended to behave.

Finally, I noticed two small styling details that you may want to adjust:

The opened Nav Menu has a background applied to it. You can override that background so it matches the rest of your design.
Your navigation text currently has a Stroke style applied. If that wasn’t intentional, removing the Stroke should make the menu labels easier to read.
