Did you catch the CodeTV Web Dev Challenge with GSAP and Astro? The entries were too good not to share.
The CodeTV team set a simple brief: build a site with Astro, animate it with GSAP, deploy it on Webflow Cloud. We absolutely loved what came out of this challenge.
Check out the winners' work:
1st place: "Resident Evil – the Drive" by Filip Zrnzevic
An unofficial concept site for the upcoming film. Filip rendered the 3D scenes in Three.js, used shaders for depth and transitions, wrote his own soundtrack, and finished the whole thing in two days. Get immersed in the world here.
2nd place: "Descent" by Sara Santini
This one feels less like a landing page and more like walking through an installation. Floating frames and eyes drift through 3D space. Take a journey here.
3rd place: "This page will convert you" by Matt Cool
A satire of every manipulative landing page trick you've ever scrolled past: fake testimonials, borrowed urgency, a countdown timer counting down to nothing. Break through the surface and there's a gnome-run factory converting your attention into clicks underneath. Find it here.
