AI Agents can support work across your site with incredible speed. But until now, most of that work happened behind the scenes, with changes “automagically” appearing as the agent completed each task.
Agent presence changes that. When an agent connects to your site through the Webflow MCP server, you can see where it’s working live on the canvas, the same way you’d see a teammate.
In the Designer, you’ll see:
• Agent avatars in the top bar, marked with a sparkle
• A highlight on the element an agent is editing
• A border that spirals around the page or component being worked on
• Agent avatars next to pages and components in the Pages and Components panels
It works for your agent and your teammates’ agents, so you can spot an agent mid-task before you edit over it or publish before it finishes.
A few things to know:
• It works with agents connected through the Webflow MCP, such as Claude, Codex, Cursor and ChatGPT. It doesn’t apply to the Webflow AI Assistant yet.
• Keep the Designer open to see the indicators.
• It’s free on all plans.
New to the MCP? Connect an agent with the quick start guide, and see the help center docs for details.
